AUTOMATIC PAGE LAYOUT

The unparalleled feature of Calypso Score is it's automatic page layout capability.
Thus Calypso Score avoids page turnings and allows you to always view the bars ahead, even if they are on the next page or after a jump within your score. 
It's almost as if you  look on your paper sheets. And sometimes it's even better: when you have to jump back or ahead over several pages, Calypso Score automatically layout the sheets in such a way, that you may see the bars both before and after the jump.

When you're performing, a light spot is moving over your sheet as a guide. The spot knows all your repetitions, endings, Da Capo & Coda jumps. And it knows changes in tempo as well. It starts moving when you or your band start playing. But the best is: as the spot moves down a page, a bar will smoothly appear from the top (or sometimes from the bottom) and reveal the first bars to be played of the upcoming page. AUDIO CAPABILITIES

You can also record your music as you play on a gig or during your exercises. 
When you play back your recorded music or voice, the spot will also follow your score. Tap on any bar to advance both the spot and the recording to that position. 

You can import several audio files for one score and easily synchronize them 
with it. By syncing it, the music skips to the tapped bar of the score. This is a 
great feature to learn playing transcribed music, e.g. Typh media. Or sync your play-a-long music with the scores. Or simply scan your school book and sync the scores with it's included audio CD.

You wonder, how Calypso Score knows each bars and repetitions? That's because you entered them when you prepared your songs: just tap once on every bar. It's almost as fast as counting the bars. For a jump you just tap the source and the destination bar. If a tempo changes or the beats per measure 
count, tap on that bar and enter the new values. That's it ! Now the song is prepared for all the benefits: automatic page layout, recording and syncing of imported music.


SHEET MUSIC ORGANIZER

You organize your songs in songbooks (some call it bandbooks). For example: 
collect all songs of Mozart in the Mozart-songbook. All sheets of your big-band 
in the bigband bandbook. The tunes for the combo come into another bandbook.

You can prepare your songs by importing sheets from PDFs, but also from your 
photo library. That allows you to make photos of the sheets, which you got just 
before the gig and import them as songs in your bandbook. Another option could 
be to get screenshots and the exported audio files from the wonderful app: 
"iReal b" by Technimo LLC and import them into Calypso Score to benefit from both worlds.

You can make setlists with ease. In the setlist mode,you see three lists: your songs are on the left. On the right is a list of all your setlists. Here you may name your setlists and arrange them. The table in the middle shows the songs of the setlists. Here you easily add, delete or arrange the songs. You may even drag 
and move a song from one setlist to another. It's so easy.

When you need annotations, they are just one touch away. The buttons for 
annotations are there, when you need them. And they disappear,when they should. Simply touch the text, pen or marker button and write or draw in the preselected style. By a long touch on those buttons, you may choose from 5 styles, and you may modify each of those styles.You can make covers for your songbooks. Get a photo of your band and use it as an amazing cover for your bandbook. It's fun. Or use the PDF of your poster instead. Or combine both.


FAKEBOOKS

But, there is one more thing... :  Calypso Score currently knows about 25 fakebooks! Scan your fakebooks or get a copy of them from the many sources in the net, name them as listed and import them with iTunes. You then have direct access to the titles within your PDF. You may also search for a title in one or in all fakebooks. More fake-books coming. You then are best prepared for your session!
